Global Automotive Finance

GMAC has one of the largest automotive finance operations with a presence around the world. GMAC offers wholesale and retail automotive financing products and services primarily to GM and Chrysler dealers and customers.

Mortgage

GMAC's mortgage operations include Residential Capital, LLC (ResCap) and the mortgage activities of Ally Bank and ResMor Trust. Through these divisions, GMAC focuses primarily on the residential real estate market in the U.S. with select operations internationally. Business activities include the origination, purchase, servicing, sale and securitization of residential mortgage loans.

Insurance

GMAC Insurance provides a broad range of insurance and insurance-related products and services for individual consumers, as well as automotive dealerships and other businesses. GMAC Insurance operations are located worldwide.

On October 19, 2009, the company entered into an agreement to divest its U.S. property and casualty consumer insurance business to American Capital Acquisition Corporation. The transaction is pending regulatory approval and other customary closing conditions. The dealer-related insurance business, which includes vehicle service contracts and insurance for auto dealer inventories, is not affected by this transaction.

Ally Bank

Ally Bank is a U.S. online bank that offers a variety of savings products, including certificates of deposit (CDs), online savings accounts and money market accounts. Member FDIC.

Commercial Finance

Through its Commercial Services Division, European Operations and the Structured Finance Division operations, Commercial Finance provides secured lending products in North America and Europe for middle-market businesses as well as factoring and accounts receivable management.
